Over the last year, Hannah and I have engaged in much prayer about our future at First Baptist Church of Camden. This past weekend, God overwhelmingly answered our prayers for guidance by affirming our call to Copperfield Church in Houston, TX. I will preach my final sermon at First Baptist on May 19th in the morning worship service and will begin pastoral service in Houston on June 3rd. Between now and my first day of service in Houston, I will be working closely with the church staff, deacons, and other lay leaders to make sure that the transition goes as smoothly as possible.
While we are embarking on this new calling with great joy and excitement, we would also like to thank God for His faithfulness during our time in Camden. We have made some great friends, seen God do some special things, and believe that He has used our time here for His glory and the good of His people. We are confident that God is at work in this transition and praise Him for His peace and leading.
