Rev. Relton Floyd (R. F.) Gates is one of the greatest evangelists I have ever known. He pleaded with and prayed for the lost to come to know Christ with a fervency that simply had to be experienced. Sadly, he is also relatively unknown to many people in our day and age.

In his final years, R. F. (affectionately known as “Brother R. F.”) set time aside to encourage me as I discerned a call to ministry. I didn’t like the food at Luby’s, but I loved to fellowshipping with Brother R. F. over those meals. He prayed and preached as one who believed that heaven and hell were real, that God was sovereign, and the gospel was the power of God unto salvation. I miss him, but I am grateful to still have a picture of him in my GNT, several books from his personal library that include his reading notes, and a few mp3 sermons.

Here is one of Brother R. F. most powerful and popular sermons. I have remastered it and placed it in this YouTube video. I hope you are encouraged by it.
